Software implementation follows only after full agreement on the functional details have been established. In addition to rapid prototyping to get the job started, Standish follows careful design and documentation methodologies to assure future maintainability of the software.

Case Study:

A metals manufacturer was installing a new process system which came with its own, built-in PC based system. This new PC based system needed to be connected to the existing plant scheduling system but it was neither hardware compatible nor software compatible with the existing plant system. Standish designed and built an interposing PC system which when inserted between the new system and the old system was able to bridge both the hardware and the software incompatibilities of the two systems. Furthermore by using our established remote support capability we were able to ship the completed system and get it up and running without a direct visit to the plant site.
